Double Chocolate Chip Cookies

Double Chocolate Chip Cookies

If you love a chewy and gooey cookie as much as I do then these are one for you. They are so simple to throw together and take as little as 15 minutes to prepare and bake, so why not give them a go this weekend.

Instructions
  1. Beat the butter with an electric whisk until soft and fluffy
  2. Add all the dry ingredients & milk and lightly whisk again.
  3. Using a spoon stir in the chocolate pieces. The mix will be fairly thick and sticky so don't be tempted to add more milk.
  4. Depending on how large you like your cookies, spoon out with a tablespoon and roll into 12-14 individual balls. Place the balls on 2 baking trays covered with greaseproof paper, and make sure they are evenly spaced so they do not melt into one another as they bake.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven on 180 degrees for approximately 8-10 minutes. Remember, your cookies will harden as they cool, so be careful not to overcook them.
  6. Once cooled, I finish by sprinkling a little sea salt over the cookies. This really helps to bring out the sweetness and works great with the cacao.
